Training - “How to apply to the Constitutional Court”

On 10-11 Julay a training “How to apply to the Constitutional Court” was held for practicing lawyers of the Adjara region in Batumi , Hotel “Inturisti”. Main topic of the training were the forms and procedures of application to the Constitutional Courts, the litigation in the above court and etc. The agenda of the meeting included such issues as adoption of the decisions by the court, enforcement of the judgments and so forth. As an examples, a number of important judgments were discussed. The participants were given a moot court exercise, in the frames of which they prepared a constitutional claim and observation, elaborated recommendations and memorandum of co-operation. During the meeting there were also a discussion and analysis of the results of research «Activity of the Constitutional Court and Constitutional Control in Georgia» conducted by the organization. The training was held in the framework of the project: «Building public demand for better legislation», which is implemented with financial support of the organization NED (National Endowment for Democracy).
