	Let's fill the children's hearts with joy - charity event for orphans and underprivileged children

	With the initiative of the organization “Article 42 of the Constitution”, Caucasus School of Law and Students Board of Caucasus School of law, a charity event with a slogan: “Let's fill the children's hearts with joy” was held on 1 June. Charity was carried out to support and cheer up the orphans and underprivileged children and was dedicated to the International Children's Day, which is celebrated through out the world traditionally on 1 June. This day was special for 50 children from the Varketili orphanage.

	On 13 May 2009 the Constitutional Court of Georgia delivered a decision on the case “Public Defender of Georgia, citizen of Georgia Elguja Sabauri and citizen of Russian Federation Zviad Mania vs. Parliament of Georgia”. Archil Chopikashvili, Rusudan Mchedlishvili and Anna Tvaradze, lawyers of the organization “Article 42 of the Constitution” represented the interests of the claimant Elguja Sabauri before the Court.

	A meeting of a network of practicing lawyers was held in Rustavi, at the office of Civil Development Agency on 20 March. Practicing lawyers discussed the problems related to the application procedures to the ECHR and litigation of the cases. Lawyers, together with the experts of the organization «Article 42 of the Constitution» held discussion on important issues, such as lodging an application in the European Court of Human Rights; right to fair trial – standards of the ECHR and case-law of Georgia in this relation.

	Public Broadcasting and its director are sued in the court

	Producer of the projects “Etaloni” (“Etalon”) and “Didi Perspektiva” (“Big perspective”) - Ltd. Sigma Plus sued Public Broadcasting in the court. The suit was brought to the court on 27 February 2009. Claimant requests the court to declare the results of the tender held by the Public Broadcasting in September 2008 as null and void. Lawyers of the organization “Article 42 of the Constitution” Manana Kobakhidze and Mary Japaridze represent the interests of “Sigma Plus” before the court.
