On 1st June, at the International Children’s Day, Article 42 of the Constitution started an act of charity of a week’s duration - „Together with Children against Violence“. Lawyers of the organization will provide seminars against violence to students in Tbilisi public and private schools from 1st till 8th June. The charities will be held in No.54 (10.00), No.8 (11.00) and No.175(12.00) public schools of Tbilisi on 1st June as well as in other secondary schools of Tbilisi and regions during the whole week. The aim of the seminars is to raise sense of responsibility, awareness, humane and moral principles in adults. Lawyers will provide to students a one-hour lecture on „how to protect each other from violence“. Students are going to discuss the case on violence and have the debates and role playing on it; afterwards, lawyers will inform them about the rights and obligations of adults in terms of the legislation in understandable language. In the end of the seminars, students have to write an essay, „Child and Violence“. In the future, after analyzing students’ essays a newspaper will be published. Article 42 of the Constitution has organized the charity act in cooperation with Ministry of Education and Science. Article 42 of the Constitution demonstrates willingness to hold similar activities in future and appeals to directors and teachers of all secondary schools for the following collaboration.
